On Halloween, I favor Hocus Nice Halloween Pennywise Cat Six Feet People Shirt Pocus and Trick ‘r Treat… nothing wrong with Sleepy Hollow though. Solid entry on the old myth and an interesting take on the source material. Someone sees if I’m crazy, I swear I saw it in 3D but no one remembered it ever being released as a 3D movie and I can find anything online. What stuck out to me was the witch face popping out or the pumpkin flying out when I was wearing those glasses. I am not a massive Tim Burton fan. I like a few of his less-Burtony wacky movies like Sweeney Todd, but Sleepy Hollow is my favorite of his.

I’m really surprised this movie Nice Halloween Pennywise Cat Six Feet People Shirt doesn’t get more love. It has such a great blend of being a historical folky New England (?) tale with a touch of the supernatural. I’ve only seen the movie once so my memory probably fails me, but I don’t remember this movie being overly Halloween-ish. I could see someone making the connections though because I consider The VVitch to be a Halloween adjacent movie and they have similar tones and atmospheres. Regardless, it’s a film that is best watched around Halloween. This was the movie I showed to my Korean students when they wanted a scary movie around Halloween. It’s not too intense, but it’s intense enough for their sensibilities.
