Every year I and my Halloween In A World Full Of Princesses Be A Witch Shirt girlfriend make a calendar starting in September to watch one horror movie a day and every year sleepy hollow is the movie we watch on October 1st. Great way to start in October. It’s without a doubt the worst adaption of the original story, but it has a style all its own. It’s unapologetically Tim Burton’s Sleepy Hollow. I actually really like Sleepy Hollow told in The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad as well! It’s from 1949 so the animation’s style really suits the tale. Halloween isn’t a thing in my country but I remember watching it one night in October and thinking how cool that movie was! Definitely a hard recommendation!

Saw it for the first time last Halloween In A World Full Of Princesses Be A Witch Shirt year. I’m the most massive fan of the Disney version and Washington Irving. I even went to Sleepy Hollow last year and got a graveyard tour. As a purist of the story, I didn’t gush over the movie, but it definitely has it’s placed! There’s no question that is a wonderful piece of art. I actually just moved to Sleepy Hollow (A real town in NY on the Hudson River where the author of the story is buried as well) and have never seen this one! My girlfriend and I are waiting until Halloween to watch it!
